Veniamin Kondratyev meets Kazakhstan's Consul General to discuss cooperation

«By the end of 2025, trade turnover between the Krasnodar Region and Kazakhstan had reached almost USD 270 million. It is important to create favourable conditions for cooperation between small, medium-sized, and large businesses, and to help bring high-quality products from Kazakh enterprises to the market of the Krasnodar Region, and ours to the Kazakh market.

To achieve this, we need to organise trade missions to promote products from the Krasnodar Region in the Kazakh market and to build partnerships,» said Veniamin Kondratyev, the Governor of the Krasnodar Region.

Kanat Khassenov, Consul General of Kazakhstan, thanked the governor for the meeting and expressed his support for the initiative to organise trade missions.

«I fully support the development of business cooperation. If Russian entrepreneurs are interested in entering the Kazakh market, we offer preferential terms and access to infrastructure to facilitate this. We are ready for trade and economic cooperation,» said Kanat Khassenov.

Fertilisers and agricultural produce from the Krasnodar Region are already being supplied to Kazakhstan, while companies in the machine-tool and rail car manufacturing sectors, as well as manufacturers of various equipment, including food processing machinery, are also ready to collaborate. The potential of the Krasnodar Region will be showcased this autumn at two international exhibitions in Almaty: KazBuild, dedicated to construction materials, and FoodExpo Kazakhstan, focused on the food industry.

The event was also attended by Alexander Ruppel, Deputy Governor of the Krasnodar Region, and Yulia Prikhodko, Head of the Department for Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity of the Krasnodar Region.
